The answer, first
Four claims circulate widely about Dholera and none of them appear on this site. The Vedanta and Foxconn joint venture is dead. The fab opens mostly at 90nm. Commercial production is guided to mid-2028. And a December 2026 first silicon date is not supported. This page states all four in one place so that a reader can check what this register refuses to say as easily as what it says.
The four standing corrections
One. The Vedanta-Foxconn joint venture is dead
It collapsed and it is not a live project. Nothing in this register descends from it, no parcel on the register is attributed to it, and it is not treated as a current allottee anywhere on this site.
Two. The fab opens mostly at 90nm
A 28nm figure is repeated a great deal, but the plant opens mostly at 90nm, so the finer number should not be used as the headline node. This register holds no process node data at all, and that is the point of saying so here rather than in a footnote.
Three. Commercial production is guided to mid-2028
That is the guidance. Anything faster than it is somebody’s hope rather than a published schedule.
Four. A December 2026 first silicon date is not supported
No source in this set carries it, and the guidance above contradicts it. Where a date matters on this site, it comes with a document and a page number attached, as with the two Letters of Award dated 14 November 2024 and 24 December 2024.
Why a land register carries a semiconductor correction at all
Because the fab is the reason most people arrive at a page about Dholera land, and the numbers they arrive carrying are usually wrong. This register is strictly parcel level: area, dates, tenure, terms. It holds nothing about capital, investment cases, employment or policy, and it will not acquire them. Stating the four corrections here is the cheapest way to keep them from leaking into the land data.
What this register will not print
- Any guaranteed, assured or promised return on land. There is no such thing and this site does not carry the phrase.
- Any price paid by a named allottee, because no document in this source set states one.
- Any net available land figure derived by subtracting the 530 acre allotted figure from the 1,519 acre available figure. The source’s own wording does not support that arithmetic.
- Any parcel plan, plot map or survey boundary drawing, because the source set publishes no geometry.
- Any tenure or lease term inferred from policy and attached to a parcel whose document is silent.
